Alan Kelly Southern, 73, of Christiansburg, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2022 at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery.
He was born in Montgomery County on March 22, 1948, to the late John Wayne and Grace Lawson Southern.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dreama Southern, and a daughter, Carolyn Southern.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Kelly and Linda Southern, James and Sharon Southern, and Bobby Southern; grandchildren C.C., Amanda, Justin, Jamie, and A.J., numerous great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Bill Schmidt; and brother and sister-in-law Freddie and Frances Southern.
Due to his wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
