NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to § 15.2-3107 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as
amended, that on August 23, 2022, at 7:00 P.M. in the Christiansburg Town Hall, 3rd Floor Council Chambers, 100 East Main Street, Christiansburg, Virginia, the Town Council of Christiansburg, Virginia (“the Town”) shall hold a public hearing on the Town’s intent to approve a proposed Boundary Line Adjustment Agreement between the Town of Christiansburg and County of Montgomery and will thereafter consider for passage a resolution approving the Agreement.
The Agreement is authorized by § 15.2-3106 et seq. of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, and provides that the boundary line between the Town of Christiansburg and the unincorporated area of the County of Montgomery will be changed by moving approximately 5.57 acres from the incorporated Town of Christiansburg boundary into the unincorporated area
of the County of Montgomery. The proposed boundary adjustment area is located on the northeast boundary of the Town of Christiansburg and the unincorporated area of the County of Montgomery adjacent to Houchins Road and includes a 3.743-acre portion of Tax Parcel 500 –
(8) – 13A (Parcel ID 014196) and a 1.827-acre portion of Tax Parcel 80 – (A) – 46 (Parcel ID
018437), shown more particularly on the plat entitled “Exhibit Sketch Showing the Boundary
Line Adjustment Between The Town of Christiansburg & Montgomery County, Virginia”, prepared by Foresight Design Services, Identified as FDS Job No. 3246, dated July 26, 2022.
True copies of the proposed Boundary Line Adjustment Agreement are on file and may be viewed at the office of the Town Manager, Christiansburg Town Hall, 100 East Main Street,
Christiansburg, Virginia 24073. Copies of the Agreement will also be available at the public
hearing. The public is invited to attend the public hearing and comment on the Agreement.
