CHRISTIANSBURG – The Virginia Cooperative Extension is holding two classes to teach home canning in two ways.
The first Home Food Preservation Class is centered on the Boiling Water Bath method of canning, teaching the why and how, of boiling water bath canning. It is scheduled for Thursday, March 23, from 5 to 9:30 p.m.
The second class teaches the Pressure Canning method. It is scheduled for Tuesday, April 4, from 5 to 9:30 p.m.
The classes will be held at the Montgomery County Government Center in Multi-purpose Room 1, located at 755 Roanoke St. in Christiansburg. The cost for each class is $20. Space is limited. Call 540-745-9307 to reserve your space in either or both classes.
