County Board of
Supervisors hereby gives
notice of a public hearing
to be held on November 27,
2023 at 7:15 p.m. in the
County Government Center,
755 Roanoke St.,
Christiansburg, Virginia, in
order to hear citizen
comments regarding the
Board of Supervisors’
intention to act on the
following Special Use
Permit request:
A request by Mayapplings,
LLC (Agent: Hayley
Reynolds) for a Special Use
Permit (SUP) to allow a
Child Care Center within an
existing structure. The use
is defined as “day
care center” in the Zoning
Ordinance, which is allowed
in the A-1 Zoning District
only by an approved Special
Use Permit. The property is
located at 2895 Old Fort
Road (State Route 1279), at
the intersection of Thomas
Lane (State Route 737) and
Old Fort Road.
The property is further
identified as Tax Map 052-7
B1 (Parcel ID: 003254),
2.640 acres, zoned A-1
Agricultural in the Price’s
Fork Magisterial
District. The property
currently lies in an area
designated as Village
Expansion in the 2025
Comprehensive Plan, and is
further designated as LowDensity Residential in the
Price’s Fork Village Plan.
