The Montgomery Museum of Art and History has been awarded the New River Valley Master Gardener Association Community Grant for its Garden Waterline Extension Project.
The $1,260 award will be used to enhance water access to the Museum Garden plants and planters.
“This project is a game-changer, eliminating the need for dragging hoses and making the maintenance of our beautiful garden much easier,” the museum announced.
“A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved, especially the committee that saw the importance of this project,” the announcement continued. “We are grateful for the support that will not only benefit our museum, but also dedicated volunteers like Master Gardeners, Beth Umberger and Gwen Ewing, who have tirelessly cared for our garden. Thank you for making this possible. Our garden is a wonderful recreational asset, educational resource, and place of respite for people through the year.”
The museum garden is open daily at 300 South Pepper St. Christiansburg, 365 days a year, sunrise to sunset. Street parking only.
