Pet of the week

21

The animals of the week are from the Montgomery County Animal Care and Adoption Center. Each week the News Messenger will feature a dog and a cat available for adoption. Those interested in adopting a pet, or helping the facility can call 382-5795 or visit www.montgomerycountyva.gov/acac.

Brothers Bertram and Rexy are 4-month-old males who enjoy cuddling together and live in the same “cat condo” at the center. These little grey guys are neutered and up to date on vaccines. Even though they are together quite a bit, they are not a bonded pair requiring the same home, but if you’re looking for a sweet, laid back kitten—or two—they may be your purrfect match!

Bridget is a 1 year-old female, Treeing Walker Coonhound who has been at the Animal Care and Adoption Center since early June. She weighs about 55 lbs. She is healthy, and is ready for a new home! She can be a little shy at first but tends to get along with everyone! As is typical with a hound, she loves to sniff out adventures when outside.
