RADFORD – Radford police are continuing to investigate several breaking and entering complaints that occurred at residences on the east side of Radford last week.

According to Radford Public Information Coordinator Becky Hawke, the break-ins all occurred in the off-campus residential area near the Radford University campus while students were away for Thanksgiving break.

Tuesday, Radford Department of Police Sgt. Detective Andy Wilburn said there were 11 break-ins in the area between Tuesday, November 22 and Sunday, November 29.

“Most of the break-ins were discovered by [the police department] and a couple have been reported since the students returned,” Wilburn said. “I definitely think thieves targeted apartment that belong to students gone for break.”

Wilburn said items taken include I-pods, computers, games, DVDs and cameras, among others.

The cases are still under investigation. Anyone with any information is asked to call 540- 267-3190.
