The Christiansburg Police Department is currently searching for one of two juveniles who escaped from the New River Valley Juvenile Detention Home located on Wades Lane just after 9:30 a.m. Friday.
The juvenile is 17-years-old, 5’9” and 152 lbs., with brown hair, and scars under his left eye and on his right forearm. He was last seen wearing navy blue shorts and no shirt.
He is not being identified further because of his age. He was being held in the detention home on a larceny charge. He is not considered armed or dangerous at this time.
