Combat in the Cage 2 Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) was held at the Dedmon Center at Radford University this past weekend. The fighters from Tech MMA in Christiansburg went undefeated for the night to bring their team record to 23-0 for the year.
Christian Leonard won by a knockout with a knee against Somner Martin in the second round taking his record to 6-0. With this win, Leonard became the Combat Fighter’s Challenge (CFC) light weight champion. The CFC is the sanctioning organization that oversees the fights.
Trey Hull won a tournament in two fights. His first win against Nitro Garcia was by decision. His second win was won by arm bar in the second round against Chad Wiggington. Hull is now the CFC’s catch weight title holder.
Zack Snider won in his debut fight with a knock out in the 2nd round.
Allison Haynes won by decision against Grace Land and became the CFC’s title belt holder in the women’s kickboxing division.
