Storytimes at the Blacksburg Library

Babies 0-12 months – Fridays at 11 a.m.

Tots 12-24 months – Fridays at 10 a.m.

Toddlers 2-3 years – Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10 a.m.

Preschoolers 4-5 years – Thursdays at 10 a.m.

All Ages Storytime – Saturdays at 11 a.m.

 

Storytimes at the Christiansburg Library

Storytimes at the Meadowbrook Public Library, Shawsville

All Ages – Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.

 

Stay and Play, a Library Playgroup

Every Wednesday after Storytime, 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Blacksburg Library

Under their parent’s supervision, babies and toddlers can play during this informal gathering. This program is for ages 0-4 and meets in the storytime room.

 

Wee Play, a Library Playgroup

Every Wednesday after Storytime except the first Wednesday of the month, 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Christiansburg Library

Parents and caregivers are invited to socialize while supervising an informal play group for their babies and toddlers. Ages 0-4.

 

“The Farmhouse” Book Raffle

All month, at the Blacksburg Library

Sign up for a chance to win this book with over 300 photographs that beautifully illustrate 20 new and remodeled farmhouses.

 

Maker Space

All month, at the Christiansburg Library

All ages can be a maker. The library has a computer with fun software programs and kits for in-library check out that include everything from Makey Makey and Legos to knitting and Zine creation.

 

Post-its for Positivity Mural

All month, at the Christiansburg Library

Write a positive note on a post-it and stick it on the wall in the teen area, all month long.

Learn how to read, write, and decode messages in Braille!  In this program we will briefly discuss the history of Braille, learn the Braille, alphabet, and have a Braille storytime.  Recommended for ages 5 and up.
