Cedric Miller “Shag” Meredith, 79, of Christiansburg, departed this life Saturday evening, Feb. 4, 2017, at English Meadows in Christiansburg.
Born at Hoges Chapel in Giles County on June 30, 1937, he was a son of the late Lacy Snow and Ocie Ola Woods Meredith. He was a retired skilled tile setter and was a member of Harbor of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church in Christiansburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Ryan David Wallace; three sister; and five brothers.
He leaves to cherish his memory his fiancé and caregiver, Darlene Hill Duncan of Christiansburg; his son, Scott Meredith; his daughters, Lisa Williams (Jerry), Monica Wallace (David), and Sonia Hodges (Bernie); his sister, Gladys M. Rock of Newport; his grandchildren, Danielle W Alderman, Jordyn W. Shelor, Jacob Wallace, Chelsea Hodges Hartman, Emilee Wallace Burke, Shaylee Hodges, Christian Wallace, Anna Hodges and Abbie Williams; his four great-grandchildren; several beloved nieces and nephews; and a host of good friends.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, February 7th 2017 at 7 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke.
