Aquatic center offers scuba classes

Certified scuba divers are invited to the deep end of the competition pool at the Christiansburg Aquatics Center on February 26, March 26 and April 23. Open scuba will last from 2-4 p.m.
To participate in open scuba, divers will need to produce a copy of their scuba certification. A hose will be provided to rinse off gear before entering the pool.
The fee for open scuba is $10, which can be paid at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center. No pre-registration is required.

Youth wrestling in Blacksburg

The Blacksburg Recreation Department is offering a youth wrestling program for those ages of Kindergarten to sixth grade. The program will last seven weeks with practices held for 90 minutes, three to four days a week. Optional competitions held at surrounding localities.
The price is $30 for town residents and $40 for non-residents.

RU hosting free clinic

Radford University volleyball coach Marci Jenkins has announced a free volleyball clinic Friday, February 24 inside the Dedmon Center. The event is scheduled from 4-5:30 p.m.
Girls in grades 8-12 are welcome to attend the clinic. Jenkins, a four-time Big South Coach of the Year, and her assistants, Chris Hertel and Caleb Adams, will run the clinic. A number of players from the Radford volleyball team will join as well.
