In the 2016 Annual Report by the Montgomery County Economic Development Department, Christiansburg, Blacksburg and Montgomery Country received several accolades from national organizations.
Blacksburg was voted the best southern college town, by Garden and Gun Magazine. Christiansburg received third place for Happiest City in Virginia by OnlylnYourState.com.
The NAMM Foundation designated Montgomery County Public Schools for best community for music education, for the ninth consecutive year. The Area Development Magazine listed Blacksburg, Christiansburg and Radford in the top l00 leading locations to live.
Blacksburg and Christiansburg were ranked in the Top 25 Best Places to retire in America. All of that proves that this is a great place to live.
