Bike ride supports Lions Club
A Spring adventure along Wolf Creek will be held on Saturday, April 29 in Narrows.
Take your pick of approximately a 20 mile, 32 mile or a 42 mile round trip ride, or you can ride as much of the course that you want. Enjoy the Spring foliage and the serene ride along Wolf Creek nestled in the Alleghany Mountains.
Sponsored by the Narrows Lions Club. Proceeds from the ride will go to support sight conservation, provide glasses for the needy, and help our community.

Outdoor Expo at Bisset Park
The Virginia’s Outdoor Lovers Expo is happening April 22 in Radford at Bisset Park.
Appalachian Spring, a 19-county Southwest Virginia community and economic development initiative by Friends of Southwest Virginia, presents the third annual event.
The Expo, formerly named the “Southwest Virginai Outdoor Expo” is FREE with live music, beer, raffle tickets, giveaways, and more. The event will be held in Radford’s Bisset Park on the bank of the New River from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The weekend will be full of outdoor adventure with free events for everyone from the novice nature-lover to the more advanced folks who are looking for that next adrenaline rush.
This is the third annual event which is the only one of its kind in Southwest Virginia and raises awareness of the diverse outdoor recreation opportunities that are abundant across the region. The 2015 event was a huge success with over 1,700 visitors and 79 vendors from all 19 counties of Southwest Virginia.
Spend the first day learning about new destinations to hike, bike, kayak, rock climb, or try something new with the many other activities the region provides. Local businesses, clubs, outdoor organizations, and others will be on hand to share information to help get you out on your next outdoor adventure.

Scuba at CAC
Certified scuba divers are invited to the deep end of the competition pool at the Christiansburg Aquatics Center on March 26 and April 23. Open scuba will last from 2-4 p.m.
To participate in open scuba, divers will need to produce a copy of their scuba certification. A hose will be provided to rinse off gear before entering the pool.
The fee for open scuba is $10, which can be paid at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center. No pre-registration is required.
