February was a very busy at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center. The CAC hosted five swim meets. At one of the big meets – Appalachian Swim Conference – we had one of the swimmers proposed to a teammate.
The answer was “yes.” At this same meet, we had dancing and lip-syncing on the blocks during breaks between events – performed by male swimmers. It is always fun at these meets.
There are only two meets in March – Age Group Champs March 9-12 and the USA Swimming Sectionals March 29-April 2.
American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and American Red Cross Lifeguard recertification will be offered on March 24 and 25. Contact Chrystal Jones for details.
CLUB CAC offers fun and safe environment for K-5 for early release days. Hours are 1:30 PM – 6:00 PM (pickup until 6:30 p.m. Dates are March 7, April 13 and April 26.
Increase strength, improve balance and reduce stress in the comfort of the 95 degree therapy pool when attendees sign up for Warm Water Move and Soothe.
Fins Spring Beak Camp will be April 14 and 17. Ages 6-11 will enjoy pool time, games, art projects, friends and lots of fun.
Enjoy Open Scuba on March 26 from 4-6 p.m. Bring your own Scuba gear and dive in the deep end of the competition pool. Attendees must present Scuba certification.
