Last week, the curtain closed on the 2017 Montgomery County Parks and Recreation youth basketball league, but not before they crowned the Auburn Lady Eagles and Auburn Eagles the 2017 girls and boys Senior League champions.

Coach Howard Lytton and his Auburn Lady Eagles won a thriller over Coach Leigh Ann Teel’s Auburn Lady Eagles 24-20 in overtime in an all Auburn final.

For Coach Lytton, this is his second MCPR Championship as he steered the 2015 Auburn Eagles to the boys’ championship.

In the boys’ final, Coaches Jaret Reece & Brad St. Clair closed out an undefeated season as the Auburn Eagles defeated a very game East Mont Mustangs team 29-14. The Eagles averaged 41.3 points per game as they soared threw the tournament with a 3-0 record.
