Annual chocolate festival coming to Downtown Blacksburg

The Rotary Club of Blacksburg’s fourth annual chocolate festival will take place from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. April 15 along College Avenue, Draper Road and Main Street.


The festival is the club’s signature fundraising event and features artisan chocolates, live music, children’s activities and more.

There will be more than 30 tasting sites to sample artisanal chocolates from four Different chocolatiers. Tickets are $10 for 10 tastings or $20 for 22 tastings. Tasting tickets include chocolate tasting samples at participating tasting sites as well as entry into a variety of ticketed children’s events. There will be additional tickets for beer and wine in the garden located along College Avenue.

A special chocolate gala event will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. on April 14 at the P. Buckley Moss Gallery on Gilbert Street for a wine and chocolate sampling and a drawing for a variety of prizes. Tickets for the event are $50.00 per person.

Tickets for both the festival and gala event are available at www.BlacksburgChocolateFestival.com prior to the festival and will be available first come, first served the day of the event.

The Rotary Club of Blacksburg was founded in 1979 and is a part of Rotary International is a global network of community volunteers united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self.
