Keister, Patricia Phyllis Vaught

Patricia Phyllis Vaught Keister, age 65, of Longshop died Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Lewis Gale Medical Center. She was born in Montgomery County on Feb. 4, 1952.


She was preceded in death by her father, Minor Allen Vaught; sister, Barbara Winters; and nephew, Petey Linkous.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Howard Thomas (Peanut) Keister; mother, Lucille J. Vaught; daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia Jean Elliott, Deborah Jean and Mike Wray, Brandi Gayle and Henry Barnett; granddaughters, Marissa, Leah, Alyssa, Vannessa, and Zoey; great-granddaughters, Isabelle, Julia, Kaylea, and Maddie; great-grandson, Grayson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Peggy Shealor, Brenda and Jim Boffey; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Edison and Linda Vaught, Jeff and Diana Vaught, Richard and Pamela Vaught.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Bansemer officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. S.W. Blacksburg.
