Eva Ann Smith, age 67, of Christiansburg went to be with the Lord April 17, 2017, at Heritage Hall. She was born in Pemberton, West Virginia on July 8, 1949 to the late George A. and Edith Cox Berry.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Smith; brothers, Billy Berry, Eddie Berry and David Berry; and daughter-in-law, Donna Griffith Smith.

She is survived by her daughters, Denise Y. Moore and husband,(John) of Riner; Crystal Webb, of Snowville; son, Dennis R. Smith, of Christiansburg; grandchildren, Ashley Smith, Casey Smith, Brandon Smith, Danielle Moore, Whitney Moore, all of Christiansburg; seven great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and (Harold Ball), Sandra Quesenberry, Debbie and (Ray Turpin), all of Christiansburg; and special family friend, Joyce Simmons. The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to the staff at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Blacksburg.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, April 21, 2017 at 1 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. T. Michael Bond officiating. Interment followed in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to McCoy Funeral Home at 150 Country Club Dr. S.W. Blacksburg, VA.
