We’re getting new carpet at the Blacksburg Library! For logistics and patron safety, the Blacksburg branch will be closed while this work is performed.
The Blacksburg Library is scheduled to be closed from Monday, May 15 through Sunday, May 21.
If the carpet installation proceeds quicker or slower than planned, the closed dates may change.
You can still return your books and materials to any branch (including the Blacksburg branch Book Drop) and renew your items online. Check back here for updates.
Picking up a hold at the Blacksburg Library?
To help Blacksburg patrons receive their holds during this time, all Blacksburg holds that become available on or after Friday May 12 will remain available to the patron through Wednesday May 24.
Holds will be available for pickup in Blacksburg through the end of Sunday May 14.
Blacksburg holds will be available for pickup at the Christiansburg Library from Monday May 15 through Sunday May 21.
On Monday May 22, remaining holds will be returned to Blacksburg and continue to be available through Wednesday May 24.
