Tom and Joyce Poff join in a sing-along with Kelsey Lester, in celebration of Independence Day. Lester played the harpsichord and sang with the Poffs; several hymns and patriotic-themed melodies filled the music hall at the Poff’s home in Christiansburg, on Saturday.
“It’s nice to play the harpsichord and sing with the Poffs; it reminds me of the heritage of the USA,” said Lester.
The Poffs are well-known contractors, responsible for many of the all-brick homes in Christiansburg, as well as in other regions in Virginia and other states. Ms. Lester is an accounting and business major at New River Community College, frequently being the pianist and singing at local churches.
“God bless America,” Tom Poff said, as he and Joyce wished everyone a happy upcoming 4th of July holiday.
