I-81 bridge deck paving operations
Lane closures may be in place during nighttime hours, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., on I-81, northbound and southbound, for paving operations over bridge decks. In Pulaski County, from mile marker 87 to 91.
I-81 Pavement rehabilitations in Pulaski County
Between mile markers 105 and 103, nighttime lane closures for paving on Interstate 81 will be in place in Pulaski County through tomorrow, between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.
I-81 Northbound pavement repairs mile markers 149-152
Weather permitting, beginning Sunday, Aug. 13, alternating lane closures will be in place on a section of I-81 northbound from mile marker 149 to mile marker 152. Work will include milling, paving, pavement marking and guardrail upgrades. Work will be performed Sunday – Thursday from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. The on ramp to I-81 north from Route 220 and the Exit 150A & 150B off ramps from I-81 north may be closed at times from midnight to 5 a.m. Estimated completion is fall 2017.
I-81 bridge deck overlays mile marker 137-140
Weather permitting, alternating lane closures may be in place on north and southbound I-81 between mile marker 137 and 140 Sunday – Thursday nights between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Work will include improvements to the shoulders and repairs to the bridge deck of the bridges on I-81 over Route 635 (Goodwin Ave.) and Route 619 (Wildwood Rd.) Daytime lane closures may also be in place on Route 635 (Goodwin Ave.) and Route 619 (Wildwood Rd.) at various times for repairs beneath the bridges. Estimated completion is fall 2017.
I-81 Northbound New River Bridge Replacement in Montgomery County
Lane and shoulder closures maybe in place near exit 105. Lane closure maybe in effect during the week from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Shoulder closures maybe in effect at any time during the week. Speed limit is reduced to 60 miles per hour in the work zone. Estimated completion: December 2020.
The I-81northbound exit 105 off-ramp will be closed Sunday through Friday nights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Alternating left and right, north and southbound lane closures are in place to demolish the Route 232 bridge. This will likely continue Sunday through Friday nights from 8pm to 6am.
Route 605 (Little River Dam Road), lane closures with flagging from 7am to 7pm. Shoulder closures will remain in place though the duration of the project.
