It is nice when you hear that one local government has supported another organization. Last Friday the Christiansburg Fire, Rescue, and Police Departments sponsored a relief drive to support the people in Texas who have had their lives shattered by Hurricane Harvey.
The joint effort of the three departments collected cash and supplies at Wal Mart. By the end of the drive they had raised $2700 in cash, and enough supplies to fill three trailers. The donations will be driven to the Houston area by a non- profit emergency response organization.
It is good to hear some good news, isn’t it. Wal Mart deserves some credit too.
