On Saturday, Sept. 16, the Kiwanis Club sponsored their annual “Wilderness Trail Days,” in down town Christiansburg. This year’s event was an outstanding success, with over 8,000 citizens from the NRV attending. Approximately 100 vendors were located in and around Main Street.
What made this year special was for the first time a concert was held that evening in the Gothic Center which is part of Ignite (the old Baptist Church on Main Street). The Gothic Center is a wonderful addition to down town Christiansburg. The center was packed to watch Wayne Henderson and his associates preform.
Mike Larkin has built Christiansburg’s answer to the Moss Center in Blacksburg, except his is cozier. If you did not have an opportunity to attend this concert, I am sure you will be able to attend one in the future and you will be glad you did. This new addition will be a major boom for down town Christiansburg.
