The pets-of-the-week are from the Montgomery County Animal Care and Adoption Center. Each Saturday the News Messenger features a dog and cat from the facility available for adoption. Jake, 7-8-month-old male, came to the Animal Care and Adoption Center as a stray. He is likely a Shepherd mix. Jake is about 30 lbs. of fun puppy energy! He would love to find a furever home with an active family.Aptly named, Rubble, 1, was found roaming around the remains of the old shelter after it was demolished. He found a new temporary home at the Animal Care and Adoption Center but hopes to find a permanent place soon! This orange tabby is very outgoing and social.
