Kent Jewelers and Downtown Blacksburg, Inc. announce the 9th Annual Pretty in Pink fundraiser to support breast cancer awareness on Wednesday, October 19 from 10am- 8pm.
All day, participating downtown merchants will be donating a percent of their proceeds for the day to support the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation. Participating businesses, identified by a pink ribbon, are Fringe Benefit, Matrix Gallery, Sundee Best, Main Street Inn, t.r. collection, Gillie’s, Bollo’s, Cafe de Bangok, and Mellow Mushroom.
Numerous activities and amusements will be held. ‘Pink Cupcakes with Gemstones’, sponsored by Next Door Bake Shop & Kent Jewelers, offers a chance to win a diamond.
In the evening, the Pretty in Pink Happy Hour will run from 5:30pm-8pm in the Kent Square Atrium featuring pink drinks by Cabo Fish Taco and music by Dynamic Sound DJ Earl Brown will enliven the Pink Reception.
The Pink Reception will be held in partnership with Pointe West Management and The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event.
During the Pink Happy Hour, a gift basket silent auction will take place, with bidding closing at 7:30pm
