I write in support of the re-election of Christiansburg Mayor D. Michael Barber.
As a member of town council and more recently mayor, Michael has demonstrated outstanding leadership, sound judgment and a true dedication to the town and it’s citizens.
He is a great ambassador for the Town; he is highly visible at public events and readily available to his constituents; and he listens!
Mr. Barber maintains cordial working relationships with both the members of town council and the town’s employees, and he uses his career experience in the banking industry to assist in the sound fiscal management of the town.
He demonstrates a strong and compassionate commitment to the welfare of all citizens, while remaining realistic about the fiscal and social problems inherent in governing small towns such as Christiansburg.
In summary, I believe that Mr. Barber has been and will continue to be an outstanding mayor and deserves the support of the electorate in his bid for re-election.
