Roy A. (Buster) Epperly, 91, of Blacksburg went to be with his Lord on Monday, Oct. 23, 2017 at his home. He was born in Christiansburg, VA on April 13, 1926 to the late William Dell and Annie Mae Jones Epperly. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Reba; brothers, Kenneth and Bobby Epperly; two half brothers and a half sister.
He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Bessie (Tootie) Epperly of Blacksburg; daughter, Patricia Epperly Drosick; son, Larry Epperly (Irene); sister, Marie Morris; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and his beloved cat, Tom.
A grateful thank you to his special angels for their love and care. The family also wishes to thank Medi Home Hospice especially his nurse, Amy for their love, respect and care.
Funeral services were conducted Oct. 26, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the North Fork Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Collins and Chaplain Robbie Vance officiating. Interment followed in the North Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. S.W. Blacksburg, VA.
