Essie R. Metzler, of Christiansburg passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017 in Radford, Virginia. Born on January 2, 1948, she was a nurse for over 40 years.
Essie is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Betty, Michael and Lynne; grandchildren, Stephanie, David, Katie, Andy, Taylor, Daniel, Ellen; great-grandchildren, Landon, Kylee, Jillian; brother, Ralph Renfro; and close friend Diane.
A private graveside service will be held in the Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
