Letter to the Editor: Re-elect Mayor Barber

Town elections are very important. We need to elect a person who can lead Christiansburg into “Small town living at its best.” Do we want someone who has devoted 17 years to community service, or do we want someone who just decided he would like to be mayor without any experience?

The future of our Town depends on your vote. Each of us must cast a vote that will ultimately affect the future footprints of Christiansburg.

To accomplish these goals, I believe we must re-elect Mike Barber as mayor. We need to elect a candidate with experience.

His 17 years of service as Council Member and Mayor has brought about great advances in Christiansburg – development of North Christiansburg Regional Park, Satellite Emergency Services building project on Roanoke St., 911 Center – to name only a few accomplishments. He has 45 years of service to our Town.

He will work with businesses and citizens to ensure reasonable and equitable solutions. Vote for experience – Vote for Mike Barber – the only logical choice.

Shirley Hallock,

Christiansburg
