Stay and Play, a Library Playgroup, Wednesdays

Every Wednesday after Storytime, 10:30 – 11:30 a.m., Blacksburg Library

Under their parent’s supervision, babies and toddlers can play during this informal gathering. This program is for ages 0-4 and meets in the storytime room.

Wee Play, a Library Playgroup, Wednesdays

Every Wednesday after Storytime EXCEPT the first Wednesday of the month, 10:30 – 11:30 a.m., Christiansburg Library. Parents and caregivers are invited to socialize while supervising an informal play group for their babies and toddlers. Ages 0-4.

Club M.O.M. (Meeting Other Munchkins), Wednesdays

Every Wednesday after Storytime, 11:15 – 12:15 p.m., Jessie Peterman Library, Floyd. This play group will meet every Wednesday there is a Storytime planned.

Essential Oils: Essential Emotions
Thursday, November 2, 7– 8 p.m. at the Christiansburg Library
Experience the Power of Essential Oils to Support Healthy Emotions.
 
Bountiful Basket Auction
Friday, November 3, 6–8 p.m .at the Blacksburg Library
Come tap your toes, mingle with friends, and bid on unique baskets! Over 100 baskets and experiences to bid on. All proceeds benefit the Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library.
 

Land Curves:  A Venture into Geometric Drawing
Saturday, November 4, 12-2 p.m. at the Jessie Peterman Memorial Library
Join instructor Amie Slate and learn to make complex geometric drawings using only a straightedge.  No special experience necessary.  Registration is required:  the sign-up sheet is at the front desk.  Ages 16 and up.
 
Intro to Role Playing
Saturday, November 4, 3-5 p.m. at the Christiansburg Library
Join us for an afternoon of tabletop roleplaying (RPG) and snacks.  All materials provided, for ages 11 and up.
 
Veteran’s  Program
Saturday, November 4, 3 p.m. at the Meadowbrook Public Library
Veterans and family are invited to a special program to honor  ALL Veterans.  Guest Speaker Commander Frank Ware will be speaking and afterwards we will have an early dinner     Co-Sponsored by Elliston-Shawsville Post 4920, and Auxiliary and Meadowbrook Public Library.

All ages and all levels are welcome to join this group of knitters and crocheters.

Free Tutoring
Tuesday, November 7, 6 p.m. at the Meadowbrook Public Library
Need tutoring help? T. Byron Kelly with Advance Tutoring will provide FREE tutoring help at 6:00 p.m. every Second Tuesday. By appointment only.
 
Bingo for Adults
Wednesday, November 8, 2–3 p.m. at the Jessie Peterman Memorial Library
Looking for something to do? How about a few games of Bingo?  Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.  PRIZES!
 
Power Girls Mother Daughter Book Club
Wednesday, November 8, 5-6 p.m. at the Blacksburg Library
Girls ages 7-11, and their mothers are welcome to join us for great books at activities that empower our girls.  We are reading Matilda by Roald Dalh in November.  Refreshment provided.  Join us!
 
Evening Book Talk
Wednesday, November 8, 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Christiansburg Library
This month the group is discussing Lab Girl by Hope Jahren.
