Much has been made of the Virginia Education Association’s endorsement of Mr. Yost when in fact their bylaws prevent challengers like Chris, from being interviewed if the incumbent votes the way they want on a hand full of bills. Does that seem fair to you?
Yost does that to appeal to the Democrats in the district. Shame on you VEA, your bylaws affecting someone unfairly can be changed. Education is a top priority for Chris, he is proud to have the support of the 60 teachers, administration and elected school officials close to home.
Mr. Yost, shame on your voting record that hurts many Virginians. You voted against Medicaid expansion that will hurt the elderly and the poor, you voted in favor of a bill that would require women to get an ultrasound before getting an abortion (humiliating), you voted against increasing the minimum wage if cities wanted it, you voted to require police to ask about immigration status when police were arresting someone, that is racial profiling by anyone’s measure.
You are against “come here’s” to your district. What about all those empty storefronts in Pearisburg and Narrows? What if a “come here” wanted to open a business and create jobs, would you be against them?
The 12th District needs Chris Hurst. Give him your vote Nov. 7.
