Dr. P. Diann B. Clark presents her book of poetry and insight ‘Just Keep On Living’ at Radford’s Preston’s at the River Course Sunday.

Preston’s at the River Course (8400 River Course Drive, Radford) hosts Dr. P. Diann B. Clark in the launch and signing of her first book, “Just Keep On Livin’’’ 3 – 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12.

“Just Keep On Livin’” is a testament to never giving up on your dreams. Full of celebrations and hardships we all experience, this book speaks to us because it is us,” the author said.

This is the first book signing for the Radford author. She chose Radford’s Preston’s at the River Course since she visits the restaurant often and has attended several functions there.

“The service and camaraderie have always been welcoming,” Clark said.

She compliments the restaurant staff for their attentive service and skill in achieving “a personalized event atmosphere.”

Preston’s at the River Course, with its New River views is on the grounds of the Pete Dye-designed golf-course.

While the restaurant is open daily and hosts scenic weddings and receptions, this is their first book signing.

“We host events large and small,” Fran Davis, Preston’s Events Coordinator, said. “We’re excited for our first book signing and for celebrating Dr. Clark’s achievements.”

Dr. Clark will be reading poems and dialogues from the book.

A question and answer period, an open forum, presentations, and giveaways will follow. Refreshments will be served and the restaurant is open.

Dr. Clark is a motivational speaker and poet, facilitating workshops, special events, and charitable functions throughout the years.

“[The book is] a reflection of innermost joys and sorrows presented as a collection of heartfelt poems and testimonies, which are both universal and undeniably powerful,” she said.

Just Keep On Livin’ is available on Amazon.com and can be requested at local bookstores. For more information regarding Preston’s Restaurant, call 540-633-2667.
