Billy Wayne Reed, 70, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018 at his home in Radford with his girls by his side. Born on Oct. 3, 1947, he was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was well known as the parts clerk at Reed Autoparts. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly S. Reed, and his father, Donald “Mutt” Reed.
Survivors include his two loving daughters, Helen I. Reed and Melisa Jo Reed, both of Radford; mother, Louise Howell Reed of Parrott; brothers and sister-in-law, Kenneth “Butch” and Bootsie Reed of Radford and Jerry Reed of Parrott; sisters and brother-in-law, Peggy Barber of Richlands and Susie and Calvin Busby of Arden, N. C.; special nieces, nephews, cousins, “adopted kids” and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 8, 2018 at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin with Rev. Betsy King and Rev. Lynn Garrison officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Carter St. UM Church – General Fund, PO Box 3296, Radford, VA 24143.
The Reed family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
