Motor Mile Dragway is expanding its 2018 schedule of events following one of the most successful seasons in the track’s history.

Foremost among the additions to the 2018 calendar is Motor Mile Dragway’s all-new “Bracket Racing Series”.

The series consists of six bracket racing events over three weekends. The “Bracket Racing Series” begins April 28-29, with the remaining events slated for June 16-17 and August 25-26. The schedule guarantees Motor Mile Dragway inclusion in the post-season IHRA Bracket Finals and Mid-Atlantic Championship.

Participating divisions include Super Pro, Footbrake, Street, Jr. Dragster and Motorcycles.

“Our 2017 season exceeded expectations. Our approach last season has afforded us the opportunity to expand our dragway program this season. We’re excited to provide more of what the drag racing community wants,” said General Manager Michelle Vaught. “We’re committed to making this season even better than 2017. But we can’t do it alone. We’re counting on the bracket racing community to join us in support of this effort.”

Motor Mile Dragway’s acclaimed “Friday Night Fury” program also returns in 2018, and will continue to showcase heads-up racing in conjunction with conventional components such as the popular Friday Night Street Class and Test & Tune. The unique “Friday Night Fury” format provides anyone with a valid driver’s license the opportunity to turn their car or truck into a racing machine.

A complete schedule of events will be released in the next few months.
