Also, Christiansburg’s Grace Hutson was named River Ridge player of the year and Head Coach Joe Hutson was co-coach of the year.

Hutson was named to the first team, while Julia Moschella, Hanna Allen and Hannah Carr were second team along with Skyler Prosser of Blacksburg.

The Blue Demons’ Kendall Lewis also received honorable mention honors. Blacksburg’s Meghan Shelton, Kylia Williams and Hannah Ramey were also named to the honorable mention team.

On the boys side, Christiansburg’s Austin Brown and Blacksburg’s Grant Johnson were named first team. Blacksburg’s Drew Babcock and Christiansburg’s Isaac Hayden were second team all-River Ridge.

The two schools place two apiece on the honorable mentions list: Josh VanGilder and Cole Epperley from Blacksburg, and Cam Nagle and D’Angelo Ruff from Christiansburg.

On Wednesday, the Three Rivers District recognized Radford’s Quinton Morton-Robertson as its boys basketball player of the year and his coach, Rick Cormany, as coach of the year.

Morton-Robertson was joined on the first team by teammates Kam Edwards and Miles Jones. On the girls side, Radford’s Charli Dietz was named to the TRD second team.
