Betty Jane Tuck Crawford, 82, passed from this world on Feb. 15, 2018, surrounded by family. Preceding her in death were her parents, Ora and Edgar Tuck; and her great-granddaughter, Miriella Lookabill.
Her three children and their families were with her when she passed. She is survived by Virginia Proffit of Cullowhee, NC, John Crawford of Charleston, WV, Jane Scott and son-in-law, G. Scott of Lewisburg, WV; grandson, Jesse Lookabill (Melanie Meadows); granddaughter, Nikki McCoy (Joe McCoy); grandson, Hunter Scott; grandson, Houston Scott; and great-granddaughter, Madalyn Lookabill. She is also survived by a sister, Geneva Davis, and a brother and sister-in-law, William and Trula Truck. Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives live in the Blacksburg area.
Betty Jane’s careers were early childhood development and retail sales. She was a devoted mother and much loved by family and friends, for whom she was a lifelong advocate. Her love and influence lives on in the lives she has touched as a testament to a life well lived.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Belmont Christian Church, Christiansburg, VA.
