Each Saturday the paper features a dog and a cat from the Montgomery County Animal Care and Adoption Center (480 Cinnabar Road, Christiansburg).

Hours are 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Walk-ins are welcome.
Forrest, 5, is a gentle, friendly cat. She recently had surgery and wears a little “shirt” to protect her incision. She came to the center about a month ago and is ready for a loving home.Dak is a handsome 1-year-old Labrador Retriever looking for his forever home. He is a 69 lb. ball of energy and can be playful once he gets to know you. He is obedient, house trained and would work best with teenagers and families without small children.
