Each Saturday the paper features a dog and a cat from the Montgomery County Animal Care and Adoption Center (480 Cinnabar Road, Christiansburg). Those interested in adopting a pet can call 382-5795 or visit www.montgomerycountyva.gov/acac. Hours are 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Walk-ins are welcome.
Fargo, nearly two, may have been a T-Rex in his former life! He is a playful cat who loves to be with people! He is looking for a home with humans that will spend time with him. He also works well with other furry friends. He arrived at the center about a week ago and is ready for a furever home!Astoria, a 10-month-old female, is a 48 pound Shar Pei Doberman Pinscher mix who is very eager to play. She is already spayed and is good with other dogs as well as kids.
