“From the Front Porch to the Front Lines”

On this day, the library in conjunction with the Floyd Story Center and the Old Church Gallery, Ltd., will present “From the Front Porch to the Front Lines: Rural Virginia on a Threshold of Change.” This will be an all-day film premiere of student movies from oral history interviews. The films are the result of a 9 year effort to collect the stories of Floyd County residents who came of age during the Great Depression and World War II. A schedule of the films is available at the front desk. Refreshments will be served.
