Richard Neil Graham stepped into the presence of the Lord at 9:10 p.m. Saturday May 12, 2018. Known to everyone as Ricky, he was born March 22, 1959 and grew up in Christiansburg, Virginia where he spent most of his adult life caring for others throughout the community.

He was a life member of the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, voluntarily serving the Town of Christiansburg and Montgomery County residents for over 27 years. Rick was preceded in death by his beloved parents Robert and Ruby Graham and his baby boy.

Left to honor his legacy and cherish the memories are his wife, Teresa Gallagher; a son Michael Gallagher; two especially dear grandsons Marcus and Demetrius Gallagher (his boys); his brother Robbie Graham and wife Theresa; father and mother-in-law Jack and Ruby Gallagher; sisters-in-law Kim Vest and husband Dave; Karen Gallagher and Kwame Appea; a brother-in-law Danny Gallagher and wife Sherri; nieces Gatane Muslimani and Katie Vest; a very special nephew and niece Keegan and Kaydan Appea; and special friends (and partners in crime) Daniel ‘Jimbo’ Musselman and Mike Witt.

Rick loved working outdoors on his farm and coming up with ‘projects’ to do with his boys, taking care of his family and friends, and running rescue. Above all, he loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and we take comfort in knowing that God has healed him completely and welcomed him home.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. this evening, Wednesday, May 16, at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 17, at the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Christiansburg.

If you would like to make a donation to honor Rick in lieu of flowers, please consider the Lustgarten Foundation for pancreatic cancer research at https://www.lustgarten.org/donate.
