Each Saturday the paper features a dog and a cat from the Montgomery County Animal Care and Adoption Center (480 Cinnabar Road, Christiansburg).
Meet Sissy, a beautiful 5-year-old tortoiseshell kitty with the most gorgeous green eyes! Besides being purr-ty, Sissy is sweet and mellow, and she definitely wouldn’t pass up a chin scratch! She’s pretty shy, but if you meet her, you might just make a lifelong connection!
Missy is a playful pup just under 1 year old. She loves running, jumping, and chasing toys around the yard. Nothing beats a game of fetch with Missy! She doesn’t like other dogs or children, so she would do best in a home that suits these needs.

Hours are 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Walk-ins are welcome.
