Each Saturday the paper features a dog and a cat from the Montgomery County Animal Care and Adoption Center (480 Cinnabar Rd., Christiansburg).

CAT: Who is this beautiful tortie kitty with the piercing yellow eyes? It’s Bridget! She’s only one, but she’s spent a lot of her life at the shelter. She’s looking for a home without other cats where she can continue to be free and independent.
DOG: Noodle, 3, has been at the Animal Care and Adoption Center since May and is looking for a loving home where humans—both big and small—will spoil her. She also gets along well with other canines. Due to her interest in acrobatics and performing the high jump, she would need a fenced yard and a cozy spot indoors.

Those interested in adopting a pet can call 382-5795 or visit www.montgomerycountyva.gov/acac. Hours are 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Walk-ins are welcome.
