Eli Babcock won the 13-14 50-yard butterfly for the Blacksburg Country Club Baracudas at the SVSL Championships.
Southwest Virginia Swimming League (SVSL) trophies and friendly bragging rights were on the line at the 2018 Championship Meet on Tuesday night at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center. The Shawnee Swim Club took the team title with 2,715.5 points ahead of the Ridgewood Swim Club with 1,861.5 points. The Blacksburg Country Club finished fourth and the Christiansburg Aquatics Center (CAC) Blue Fins were fifth.
Megan Anderson swam to a win in the 11-12 100-yard freestyle in a time of 1:00.35 for the Shawnee Sharks at the SVSL championship meet.

Christiansburg Aquatic Center’s Audrey Hoke gets started in the 7-8 year old 25-yard backstroke. Hoke would place fourth in the event with a time of 25.16 at the SVSL Championships.

Shawnee’s Sam Reilly won the 11-12 50-yard butterfly in a time of 30.68 at the SVSL Championships.
Evie Grim won the 11-12 50-yard backstroke in a time of 33.37 for the Christiansburg Aquatic Center Blue Fins at the SVSL Championships.
