Pack 145 is inviting local youth to catch a wave of fun at a waterslide event to be held Sunday at St. Paul United Methodist Church at 220 W Main St. in Christiansburg.

Fishing is among the many activities Cub Scouts are able to enjoy. Families can learn more about the scouts at a public meeting Sunday afternoon at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Christiansburg.

From 3-5 p.m., families can learn more about the adventures that Cub Scouting can offer while splashing down a giant inflatable wave-shaped waterslide on the St. Paul lawn.

Cub Scouts is committed to providing extraordinary youth development programs that strengthen values, develop leadership skills, provide lifelong learning and instill service to others.

The philosophy of St. Paul United Methodist’s Pack 145 is to let the Scouts experience our world as much as possible. Pack events are held monthly and offer unique outdoor, STEM, fitness and exciting themes.

As separate Dens, Cubs ages five to ten years old gather to work on different projects and activities according to their rank: Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear and Webelos.  As a result, the Scouts can earn advancements and subsequently recognized for their accomplishments in front of their peers and families at Pack events.

Cub Scouting encourages a well-rounded balance of activities in youth. Pack 145 offers a meeting schedule that allows flexibility for youth to excel in school, sports and other activities while helping our community.
