Some like theirs with lettuce and tomato, but on Friday evening, from 6-10 p.m. (2387 Warm Hearth Drive, Blacksburg) at Warm Hearth Village’s 6th annual Cheeseburger in Parrot-dise fundraiser, the audience will decide.
The fundraiser will bring together tropical shirted, breezy audience who will enjoy cheeseburgers and cast their votes from 6-7:30 p.m., a winner will be announced at 8 p.m.
The Hethwood Market in Blacksburg and Kem’s Restaurant & Lounge in Christiansburg and newcomer CineBowl & Grille in Blacksburg will serve up its best burghers.
These three local restaurants will compete for a trophy and bragging rights for the best cheeseburger on the beach. Warm Hearth’s Village Gourmet will also participate.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Warm Hearth Foundation’s Neighbors in Need Fund that provides assistance to seniors in need of housing and health care at Warm Hearth Village.
