The 2018-19 Virginia Tech’s women’s basketball schedule has been set, following the ACC’s release of the conference slate Tuesday afternoon. The Hokies will look to build off of an impressive 2017-18 season that saw the team turn in a six-win ACC campaign, the most in Blacksburg in a decade.

With the entire roster from last year’s WNIT runner up team returning and the addition of talented newcomers, Kenny Brooks’ Hokies are poised for a breakout season in 2018-19 and have their sights set on loftier goals.

All 16 league contests will be televised this season, with 10 scheduled to be on ACC Network Extra and an additional six have been picked up by Regional Sports Networks, including the Hokies’ matchup with defending national champion Notre Dame.

The Hokies will start the league portion of their season on Thursday, Jan. 3 with a trip to Coral Gables to play the Miami Hurricanes at 2 p.m. In addition to the road contest versus the Hurricanes, Tech will travel to Virginia, NC State, Pitt, Boston College, Duke, Georgia Tech and Clemson during the season.

Tech’s home league schedule begins on Saturday, Jan. 6 with a 7 p.m. tip against the Syracuse Orange which will be seen on ACC Network Extra.

Cassell Coliseum will be the site of a Wednesday primetime matchup on Jan. 16 when the Hokies welcome in Notre Dame, the defending national champions. That game will be shown on Regional Sports Networks, with tip slated for 7 p.m.

In addition to Notre Dame, the Hokies have home dates with Syracuse, North Carolina, Florida State, Louisville, Miami, Virginia and Wake Forest on Carilion Clinic Court at Cassell Coliseum.

Tech closes the regular season with back-to-back games at home, Feb. 28 versus rival Virginia and March 3 against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

The ACC Tournament will once again be held in Greensboro at the Greensboro Coliseum from March 6-10.
