Sinkland Farms, an agri-tourism business, announced that it recently received two notable awards from major magazines.

Blue Ridge Country’s May/June edition named Sinkland Farms number one in its list of best farms to visit, tying it with the well-known Blackberry Farm in Walland, Tennessee.

The June edition of Virginia Living magazine listed Sinkland Farms as the best wedding venue in southwest Virginia.

Of the company’s recent successes, owner Susan Sink said, “We are excited to be recognized for our excellence and the continued growth of Sinkland Farms in multiple areas of agri-tourism. The hard work of our family and staff has made these accomplishments possible in a difficult business environment.”

These awards follow past achievements. In 2016, Blue Ridge Country listed Sinkland Farms as the third best farm to visit.

Last year, the farm was recognized by Only in Your State website as number ten in the list of epic spots to get married in Virginia. It had also been featured in Virginia Bride magazine.

Originally run as a dairy farm, Sinkland Farms moved into agri-tourism nearly 10 years ago.

Its signature event is the award-winning Pumpkin Festival each October. It also accommodates school field trips, hosts weddings and recently added a farm brewery to its repertoire.

It is located at 3020 Riner Road in Christiansburg. For more information, visit www.sinklandfarms.com.
