Radford Public Schools Special Education Advisory Committee Nov. 12

 

A Special Education Advisory Committee meeting will be held on Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, at 4 p.m. at the Parent Educator Resource Center located in the white building beside McHarg Elementary School.

The public is invited to attend.  If you have questions please contact Angie McCauley, Chairperson, at 540-731-3652.

 

Montgomery County Christmas Store seeks volunteers

 

The Christmas Store will be open on Tuesdays and Saturdays in November from 9a.m.-4p.m.  Come by the Store on those dates to volunteer to get the store ready for the opening week in December.

The MCCS (30 W Main St., Christiansburg) will be open for eligible shoppers December 4-8, 2018.  To volunteer at the store that week, go to the website at mcchristmasstore.org and click on “Volunteers”.  Use Sign Up Genius and click on the day you want to volunteer.  Then sign up for the area and time you wish to volunteer.  Call Terri Lynn at 230-7288 for more information.

 

Fellowship Christian Athletes benefit dinner Nov. 8

 

To raise funds for the team scholarship, the FCA motocross team is hosting a benefit dinner from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8 at the Best Western (1501 Tyler Ave.) in Radford.

Tickets are $10. Dinner is vegetable lasagna, baked pasta, salad, bread and dessert with special guest Prentice Jeffers from Team Nasty-Fast and team members from the FCA MX Virginia team will be there.
