The Christiansburg Aquatic Center is adopting new, cheaper rates for use of the facility.

The change goes into effect in January, but individuals who sign up for automatic withdrawal before Jan. 1, will be entered into a raffle for swim lessons, birthday party packages and more.

Town residents ages 18 and older will now pay $10 per month, and residents ages 17 and under will be charged $5 per month. Guests (non-residents) will pay $5 more than residents per month. Monthly rates may be paid in person or charged automatically to a credit or debit card. There is no discount for annual memberships. The $5 daily admission is still available for residents and guests.

Under the old fee structure, an annual membership for adults cost $250. The new rates mean residents ages 18 and older will be able to enjoy year-round access to the aquatic center for $120. A complete list of entrance fees can be found at www.cacpool.com/fees.

Christiansburg Aquatic Center members who currently have a one-month, six-month or annual membership with the facility must use the remainder of their current membership before switching to the new, monthly fee schedule.

The Christiansburg Aquatic Center is also now selling gift cards up to $50 that can be used to pay entrance fees.

Visit the Christiansburg Aquatic Center at 595 N. Franklin Street or call (540) 381-7665 for more information.
